A Future-proof campus network for Avans University of Applied Sciences.

Entek IT recently completed a major campus networking transformation for Avans. Together, we migrated their traditional network infrastructure to a modern, software-defined campus based on Cisco SD-Access. The new network is built on a clear and consistent blueprint, providing a strong foundation across all locations. By introducing end-to-end micro and macro segmentation, network security has been significantly strengthened while maintaining flexibility for users and applications. Automation now plays a key role in daily operations, enabling easier management, faster changes, and more predictable deployments. The project covered the migration of 13 sites, executed with a strong focus on continuity for students, teachers and employees. Through careful migration preparation runbooks, phased execution, and close collaboration, downtime and user impact were kept to a minimum throughout the transition. This transformation marks an important step toward a future-ready campus infrastructure for Avans Hogeschool. The result is a secure, scalable, and manageable network that supports Avans' educational and operational needs, both today and in the years to come.

“We experienced our collaboration with Entek IT as constructive, pleasant, and professional. Their technical expertise played a key role in the successful rollout of our software-defined network. Thanks to the short lines of communication and their ability to move quickly, the support felt personal and reliable. Entek IT is a partner you can truly build on and build with.”
